A little about me

My parents are from the Philippines.  They moved to Hawaii after my father joined the USCG, which is where I was born.  My father retired in 1986 and moved us to Pensacola, FL.  After highschool, I attended the University of Toledo and worked in a marketing career only to realize that I needed salt air and sunshine. I made the decision to move home in 1999. I met my husband the following year and never looked back. We have two beautiful kids and 2 cream retrievers, they all keep us on our toes. We still call the Gulf Coast our home.    

I’ve always loved being creative, however being a stay at home mom didn’t always allow me the time for it.  As both kids got older, I found that I had less time in picking up after them and a little more time for me. It was in 2020 my daughter and I began making jewelry and art from seashells we found together. This turned into a small business where we began selling in small market settings and sending pieces to a few local retailers. It was during a jewelry delivery trip to Fairhope, AL where I drew inspiration for a mixed media collection featuring butterflies after seeing part of the migrating monarchs. I wanted to expand my creative portfolio so in addition to bright abstracts, I began to paint florals and anything coastal related.

Painting with a bright whimsical palette brings me joy and reminds me there is beauty in everything, when and where you want to see it. My hope is that it will bring you the same joy as well.
